Project Commencement Clause Samples

The Project Commencement clause defines when and how a project officially begins under a contract. It typically specifies the triggering event for commencement, such as the signing of the agreement, receipt of a notice to proceed, or fulfillment of certain preconditions like permits or payments. This clause ensures both parties have a clear, mutual understanding of the project's start date, which is crucial for scheduling, performance obligations, and calculating deadlines, thereby preventing disputes over project timelines.
