Protection of Utilities. The Contractor shall protect from damage public and private utilities encountered during the Work of this Agreement. Prior to beginning Work, the Contractor shall give proper notification to the agencies that have utilities in place, and shall cooperate with these agencies in the protection and relocation of underground utilities, facilities and structures.
