Common use of Published Standards Clause in Contracts

Published Standards. SBC MISSOURI and CLEC agree that the following standards equally apply to either party with respect to facilities attached to or placed in SBC MISSOURI’S poles, ducts, conduits, and rights- of-way and further agree that facilities shall be placed, constructed, maintained, repaired, and removed in accordance with, current (as of the date when such work is performed) editions of the following publications: (a) the Blue Book Manual of Construction Procedures, Special Report SR-TAP-001421, published by Bell Communications Research, Inc. (“Bellcore”), and sometimes referred to as the “Blue Book”; (b) the National Electrical Safety Code (“NESC”), published by the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers, Inc. (“IEEE”); and (c) the National Electrical Code (“NEC”), published by the National Fire Protection Association (“NFPA”).
