PURPOSE AND RECOGNITION. L1.1 It is the intent and desire of both parties to establish, promote and facilitate an effective, harmonious and orderly working relationship, to provide for the prompt and equitable disposition of grievances which arise under the terms of this Collective Agreement, and to set out the terms and conditions of employment and other matters that have been agreed to by the parties. L1.2 This agreement shall apply to all Employees in the Bargaining Unit defined in the certificate issued by the Ontario Labour Relations Board, that is all Continuing Education Instructors, save and except Administrators and Coordinators and persons above that rank within the Thames Valley District School Board of Education. L1.3 The Employer recognizes the Ontario Secondary School Teachers Federation (OSSTF) as the exclusive bargaining agent for all Employees in the Bargaining Unit defined in Article L 1.2. L1.4 The Employer recognizes the right of the Bargaining Unit to authorize OSSTF or any OSSTF advisor, agent, counsel, solicitor or duly authorized representative to assist, advise, or represent it in all matters pertaining to the negotiation and administration of this Collective Agreement.
