PURPOSE OF AGREEMENT AND DEFINITIONS. 1.01 The Company and the Union acknowledge the importance of a workforce which, in a highly competitive environment, is both productive and efficient and which shares a commitment to world-class customer service in an environment which promotes a harmonious relationship between the parties. Both the Company and the Union shall endeavor to encourage and facilitate these qualities among the employees and to ▇▇▇▇▇▇ this environment at the workplace. 1.02 The general purpose of this agreement is to secure the full benefits of orderly collective bargaining an amicable method of settling any difference, which may arise between the parties, and to set forth conditions of employment to be observed by the Company and the Union. 1.03 It is in the mutual interest of the Company and the employees to provide for the operation of the services of the Company under methods, which will further, to the fullest extent possible, the efficiency and economy of operation, and the continuation of employment under conditions of reasonable compensation and working conditions. 1.04 The Company and the Union agree to abide by all the procedures provided by this Agreement and the Labour Relations Act, 1995 for the purpose of peaceful settlement of disputes
