Language Requirement. To ensure the Company’s ability to provide language service to our customers, it is agreed that the following will apply: a) The Company will designate Shift blocks which require specific language capabilities. b) Shift blocks will be developed in accordance with Article 6.04 for identified language requirements. c) Vacancies for language blocks will first be filled in by those Employees possessing the required language capabilities. In the event the designated language vacancies are not filled by those Employees, the blocks will be made available to all Employees.

Language Requirement. It is a mandatory requirement for an easyJet Cabin Crew to have a proficient knowledge of the local language in their designated base. Unless the local language is the Cabin Crew native language, the proficiency is assessed through a language test administered by a third party provider. As an exception, easyJet will accept applications to the Amsterdam base even if the member of cabin crew is not initially proficient in the Dutch language. Although, the requirement to speak the local language remains a key requirement for the role, we accept that it might take some time for the cabin crew to learn the language at the required level. easyJet offers online training through the Online Learning Academy in order to support the learning, however any other training and practice required to meet the language requirements will be at the individual’s own expense. If you are not proficient in Dutch, we will assess your proficiency in the Dutch language after 12 months from your start date if you are still employed by easyJet in AMS at that time. Should you then still fail to meet the language requirements, you will be given the opportunity to repeat the language test within a 3 month period. Should you then again fail to meet the required standard, you would not then be able to continue with the cabin crew role in Amsterdam and your contract will be terminated.

The certificates may be no more than two years old. Permission to enrol at Artevelde UAS may be subject to a language screening organised by the study programme involved. For enrolment in a bachelor programme that is taught in a foreign language, an additional requirement is that you can prove sufficient knowledge of this foreign language. As sufficient proof is accepted: a certificate stating that secondary education in the concerning language of instruction was successfully completed in one of the following countries: Antigua and Barbuda, Australia, Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Canada (with the exception of Quebec), Dominica, Grenada, Guyana, Ireland, Jamaica, New Zealand, St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Lucia, St. ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ and the Grenadines, Trinidad and Tobago, United Kingdom and United States of America.
