Common use of Purpose of Training Clause in Contracts

Purpose of Training. The Employer and the Union agree to promote, wherever possible, the training or retraining of employees to improve their job skills related to the Stadium Operations. Employees required to attend compulsory training courses pertaining to Stadium operations after completing eight (8) hours of work in a day or forty (40) hours of work in a week, will receive overtime rates of pay. It is understood that payment of overtime rates in no way detracts from the compulsory requirement to attend.
