Qualification Allowance. (a) A Registered Nurse Division 1 or a Registered Nurse Division 5 will be entitled to a qualification allowance set out in section C of Schedule B, as calculated in accordance with the below subject to the following: (i) a Registered Nurse Division 1 or 5 holding more than one qualification is only entitled to one qualification allowance, being the allowance for the highest qualification held having regard to paragraph (a)(ii). (ii) it must be demonstrated that at least one component of the qualification is applicable to the relevant Employee's current area of practice. In situations where a component of a postgraduate qualification is relevant to that Employee's current area of practice an allowance is payable. In considering whether a component of the qualification is relevant, the nature of the qualification and the current area of practice of the qualification holder are the main criteria. Other considerations may include: • the clinical or other area of work of the Registered Nurse Division 1 or 5; • the classification and position description of the Registered Nurse Division 1 or 5 ; • whether the qualification would assist the Registered Nurse Division 1 or 5 in performing her or his role and/or assist in maintaining quality patient care and/or assist in the administration of the ▇▇▇▇/unit/area in which the Registered Nurse Division 1 or 5 is employed. (iii) a Registered Nurse Division 1 or 5 claiming entitlement to a qualification allowance must provide to the Employer evidence of that Registered Nurse Division 1 or 5 holding the qualification for which the entitlement is claimed. (iv) for the avoidance of doubt, a qualification allowance cannot be claimed by a Registered Nurse Division 1 or 5 in respect of that Employee's base qualification leading to registration as a Registered Nurse Division 1 or 5. (v) certificates obtained from training or education facilities (eg. infection control certificates from the ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ Centre) shall be recognised provided that the programmes are equivalent to a University/Graduation certificate and the training/education facility verifies that in writing. (b) A Registered Nurse Division 1 or 5 who holds a Hospital Certificate or Graduate Certificate (or equivalent) shall be paid, in addition to their salary, 4.0% of the Base Rate. (c) A Registered Nurse Division 1 or 5 who holds a Post-Graduate Diploma or a Degree (or equivalent) (or a Double Degree in Nursing and Midwifery) (other than a nursing undergraduate shall be paid, in addition to her or his salary, 6.5% of the Base Rate. (d) A Registered Nurse Division 1 or 5 who holds a Masters or Doctorate, shall be paid, in addition to their salary, 7.5% of the Base Rate. (e) The above allowances are to be paid during all periods of leave except sick leave beyond 21 days and long service leave. (f) The allowance is to be paid on a pro-rata basis for non-full-time Employees.

Qualification Allowance. (a) Registered Nurses

(ii) i. For all Employees employed at 11 September 2012 the date of approval of this Agreement, it must be demonstrated that a component (at least one component of the qualification least) is applicable to the relevant Employee's ’s current area of practice. In situations where a component of a postgraduate Post Graduate qualification is relevant to that Employee's ’s current area of practice practise an allowance is payable. In considering whether a component of the qualification is relevant, the nature of the qualification and the current area of practice of the qualification holder are the main criteria.
ii. For Employees employed after 11 September 2012 the date of approval of this Agreement, it must be demonstrated that one (1) unit for a Graduate Certificate; two (2) units for a Post Graduate Diploma or three (3) units or topic for a Masters or Doctorate is applicable to the relevant Employee’s current area of practise.
iii. Any Employee receiving a qualifications allowance 11 September 2012 the date of approval of this Agreement will continue to receive this allowance whilst employed with RDNS.
(b) In considering whether the qualification is relevant, the nature of the qualification and the current area of practice of the qualification holder are the main criteria. Other considerations may include: • :
i. the clinical or other area of work of the Registered Nurse Division 1 or 5; • Nurse;
ii. the classification and position description of the Registered Nurse Division 1 or 5 ; • Nurse;
iii. whether the qualification would assist the Registered Nurse Division 1 or 5 in performing his/her or his their role and/or assist in maintaining quality patient client care and/or assist in the administration of the ▇▇▇▇/unit/an area of RDNS in which the Registered Nurse Division 1 or 5 is employed.
(iiic) a A Registered Nurse Division 1 or 5 claiming entitlement to a qualification allowance must provide to the Employer RDNS evidence of that Registered Nurse Division 1 or 5 holding the qualification for which the entitlement is claimedclaimed within one hundred and twenty (120) days of appointment or the qualification being awarded. Exceptional circumstances for claiming the entitlement beyond the 120 day period will be considered. In addition, submission of the evidence of the qualification will be requested in the letter of appointment/statement of appointment.
(ivd) for The qualifications allowance will be paid from the date of appointment or the qualification being awarded if the award is received during employment.
(e) For the avoidance of doubt, a qualification allowance cannot be claimed by a Registered Nurse Division 1 or 5 in respect of that Employee's ’s base qualification leading to registration as a Registered Nurse Division 1 or 5Nurse.
(vf) certificates Certificates obtained from training or education facilities facilities, (eg. e.g. infection control certificates from the ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ Centre) shall be recognised provided that the programmes are equivalent to a University/Graduation Registered Training Organisation certificate and the training/education facility verifies that in writing.
(bg) A Registered Nurse Division 1 or 5 who holds a Hospital Certificate or Graduate Certificate shall be paid in addition to their salary, 4% of the standard rate as defined in the allowance specified in Appendix A of this Part.
(h) A Registered Nurse who holds a Post Graduate Diploma or equivalenta degree (other than a nursing undergraduate degree) shall be paid, in addition to their salary, 4.06.5% of the Base Ratestandard rate as defined in the allowance specified in Appendix A of this Part.
(ci) A Registered Nurse Division 1 or 5 who holds a Post-Graduate Diploma or a Degree (or equivalent) (or a Double Degree in Nursing and Midwifery) (other than a nursing undergraduate shall be paid, in addition to her or his salary, 6.5% of the Base Rate.
(d) A Registered Nurse Division 1 or 5 who holds a Masters or Doctorate, Doctorate shall be paid, in addition to their salary, 7.5% of the Base Ratebase rate as defined in the allowance specified in Appendix A of this Part.
(ej) The above allowances are to be paid during all periods of paid leave except sick personal leave beyond 21 twenty one (21) days and long service leave.
(fk) The allowance is to be paid on a pro-–rata basis for non-full-part time Employees.
(l) An Employee who is in receipt of a qualifications allowance at the date of approval of this agreement shall maintain the allowance whilst employed at a classification within this Part.

Qualification Allowance. (a1) A Registered Nurse Division 1 qualifications allowance will be paid to nurses who satisfy the criteria set out below. This allowance will be in the form of a one-off payment.
(2) The allowance will become payable to nurses, who hold a qualification, as defined below, that is relevant to the Employee’s current practice or a Registered Nurse Division 5 will position or role. To be entitled to the allowance, nurses must be in the practice or position or role to which the qualification is relevant for a qualification period of at least 12 months. This period of 12 months may accrue from any time until the expiry date of the certified agreement.
(3) The qualifications that will attract this allowance set out in section C of Schedule B, as calculated in accordance with the below subject to will be the following:
(ia) a Registered Nurse Division 1 or 5 holding more than one qualification is only entitled to one qualification allowance, being the allowance for the highest qualification held having regard to paragraph (a)(ii).
(ii) it Hospital based certificates which must be demonstrated that at least of one component of years' (or two academic semesters) duration, or the qualification is applicable to the relevant Employee's current area of practice. In situations where a component of a postgraduate qualification is relevant to that Employee's current area of practice an allowance is payable. In considering whether a component of the qualification is relevant, the nature of the qualification and the current area of practice of the qualification holder are the main criteria. Other considerations may include: • the clinical or other area of work of the Registered Nurse Division 1 or 5; • the classification and position description of the Registered Nurse Division 1 or 5 ; • whether the qualification would assist the Registered Nurse Division 1 or 5 in performing her or his role and/or assist in maintaining quality patient care and/or assist in the administration of the ▇▇▇▇/unit/area in which the Registered Nurse Division 1 or 5 is employed.
(iii) a Registered Nurse Division 1 or 5 claiming entitlement to a qualification allowance must provide to the Employer evidence of that Registered Nurse Division 1 or 5 holding the qualification for which the entitlement is claimed.
(iv) for the avoidance of doubt, a qualification allowance cannot be claimed by a Registered Nurse Division 1 or 5 in respect of that Employee's base qualification leading to registration as a Registered Nurse Division 1 or 5.
(v) certificates obtained from training or education facilities (eg. infection control certificates from the ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ Centre) shall be recognised provided that the programmes are equivalent to a University/Graduation certificate and the training/education facility verifies that in writingrenal dialysis certificate.
(b) A Registered Nurse Division 1 Postgraduate certificates or 5 who holds diplomas which must be "articulated" with a Hospital Certificate or Graduate Certificate (or equivalent) shall be paid, in addition to their salary, 4.0% university and must have been taken over a period of the Base Rateat least two semesters.
(c) A Registered Mental Health Nurse Division 1 or 5 who also holds a Post-Graduate Diploma or a Degree general nursing qualification (or equivalent) (or a Double Degree in Nursing and Midwifery) (other than a nursing undergraduate shall be paid, in addition to her or his salary, 6.5% irrespective of the Base Rateorder in which the qualifications were obtained) is entitled to the allowance if they are working in an area where the qualification is applicable to their current area of practice. This may include, but not be limited to, a psychiatric unit or general ▇▇▇▇ with psychiatric patients.
(d) A Registered Nurse Division 1 or 5 who holds a Masters or DoctoratePhD qualifications, shall which must be paidrelevant to the area of nursing practice or position or role that, in addition the Employee is currently working in.
(4) Conversion degrees and non-tertiary qualifications or certificates (other than those referred to their salary, 7.5above) do not attract the allowance.
(5) The allowance that is payable is 3% of the Base Ratecurrent base rate salary of the Employee, as at the date at which the Employee became eligible to be paid the allowance (ie on the expiry of the 12 months referred to above).
(e6) The above allowances are This payment will be a once only payment for each Employee; ie nurses will not be entitled to be paid during all periods of leave except sick leave beyond 21 days and long service leavereceive two qualification allowance payments.
(f7) The To avoid doubt an Employee who received a qualification allowance in accordance with Clause 24 – Qualifications Allowance of the Nurses (WA Government Health Services) Agreement 2001 is not entitled to be paid on a pro-rata basis for non-full-time Employeesthe allowance prescribed in this Clause.
