Qualifications and Requirements. The following are minimum requirements for a successful consultant for the position: - A university degree in any social science with specialized certification in linguistics, English or similar disciplines. - At least five years of experience in translation; - Ability and capacity to deliver translations under tight deadlines, especially for media release; - Work experience with regional or international organizations in the region; - Excellent English oral and written communication skills; - Native speaker of Khmer with excellent knowledge of the writing systems of the language; - Familiarity with natural resources management/environmental awareness is desirable; and - The translator shall adhere to the terms of reference, including the time schedule. The contractors shall understand that the time schedule provided in the ToR is tentative and that the contractors remain flexible within the period indicated below. Interested individuals are required to submit proposals consisting of two parts: - Technical proposal (cover letter, CV, portfolio/work samples, a list of clients, contact information of three references); and - Financial proposal (cost per word, or cost per page of average 300 words, in English as a source document). The financial proposal should be prepared in the following format, if translation fees are different by the type of documents (i.e. technical, simple public information, presentation slides, and tables).
