It is understood that, a. Ergonomic Training, and b. Trench Safety and Hazard Awareness, Will be integral components of said curriculum. 3. Effective May 1, 2019 the Union and OCDCA will establish a Training Review Committee which will meet on or before July 1, 2019 and thereafter at least two times per year to: a. Review, and if appropriate recommend the Training Curriculum be revised; b. Discuss any additional training courses to promote the industry; c. To develop strategies to encourage workers to join and remain in the industry; and d. Develop strategies to ensure that contractors hire and promote those Trainees who graduate from the Training Centre. 4. Local 183 and the OCDCA agree to recommend to the Training Centre that Concrete and Drain related courses will be offered on a regular basis and in any event, twice a year.
