Common use of Reassignment to Higher Rated Position Clause in Contracts

Reassignment to Higher Rated Position. Where a permanent full-time employee is reassigned to a higher paying classification to cover for scheduled absences of one (1) day or more, the senior employee capable of performing the duty shall be given preference. Such employee shall receive the rate of pay of the position assumed.
