Rebuttal Material. If an employee believes a document in the employee's personnel record is incorrect or derogatory, and the Sheriff and Human Resources Director do not agree to satisfactorily correct the record, the employee may deliver to the Sheriff a written memorandum addressed to the employee's own personnel file. This memorandum shall be included as part of the personnel record, provided the memorandum is relevant to the challenged documents. Any employee who believes that specific information should be removed entirely from the personnel record may petition, at any time, either the Sheriff or the Personnel Director in writing, stating the reasons which justify the action requested.
