RECOGNITION AND DEFINITION OF TERMS. The STATE, by the Office of Employee Relations, and the Colleges/Universities hereby recognize the UNION as the exclusive representative for the purpose of collective negotiations for all terms and conditions of employment in a unit embracing the institutions set forth in Paragraph B.2 below, the composition of which is described as follows:

The STATE, by the Office of Employee Relations, and the State Colleges/Universities hereby recognize the UNION as the exclusive representative for the purpose of collective negotiations for all terms and conditions of employment in a unit embracing all nine State Colleges/Universities, the composition of which is described as follows: 1. Teaching and/or research faculty 2. Department chairpersons 3. Administrative staff (non-managerial) 4. Librarians 5. Student personnel staff 6. Demonstration teachers
RECOGNITION AND DEFINITION OF TERMS. A. The County hereby recognizes the Union as the exclusive representative for the purpose of collective negotiations for all terms and conditions of employment for those employees covered by this Agreement as defined and identified in Appendix A. The County and the Union recognize the rights and obligations of the parties to negotiate wages, hours, and other terms and conditions of employment and to administer this Agreement on behalf of covered employees, and that such administration shall apply equally to all employees in the bargaining unit without regard to membership or non-membership in the Union. The Union and the County agree that the terms and provisions hereof shall apply to all full and part time employees.

  • Interpretation and Definition of Terms Any question of interpretation of any term or provision of this Agreement having a counterpart in or otherwise derived from a term or provision of the Act shall be resolved by reference to such term or provision of the Act and to interpretation thereof, if any, by the United States courts, or, in the absence of any controlling decision of any such court, by rules, regulations or orders of the Securities and Exchange Commission validly issued pursuant to the Act. Specifically, the terms "vote of a majority of the outstanding voting securities," "interested persons," "assignment" and "affiliated person," as used in this Agreement shall have the meanings assigned to them by Section 2(a) of the Act.
