This Clause is subject to the availability of a suitable employee, who shall accept responsibility for the care of equipment and facilities in the place of work while the election is being conducted.
(f) Stewards who are required by the Employer to attend at the worksite to perform ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ duties on days of rest or outside their regularly scheduled hours shall be compensated as per Article 16.11.

This clause is subject to the availability of a suitable employee, who shall accept responsibility for the care of equipment and facilities in the place of work while the election is being conducted.

If a shop ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ attends such a meeting it will be without loss of pay.

(f) The Employer agrees to allow Union stewards reasonable use of the Employer's telephone or facsimile facilities in order to carry out his/her duties pursuant to Article 2.6 of this Agreement. It is understood that such use will necessitate no additional cost to the Employer.

(3c) supervision of ballot boxes and other related functions during ratification votesvotes involving the Employer and provided the ratification vote is held on the Employer's premises;
(4d) carrying out duties within the realm of assigned safety responsibilities, these being recognized as complaints responsibilities for stewards who are members of an urgent nature which require immediate attention; andsafety committees;
(5e) attending meetings called by the Employermanagement.

Recognition and Rights of Stewards.
(a) The Employer recognizes the Union's right to select stewards to represent employees. The Employer and the Union will agree on the number of stewards, taking into account both operational and geographic considerations. The Union agrees to provide the Employer with a list of the employees designated as stewards. .
(b) Where an employee requests ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ representation, and the Union has determined an appropriate ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ is unavailable, a union staff person, or local union officer designated by the Union will represent the employee. .
(c) A ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇, or their alternate, must obtain the permission of their immediate supervisor before leaving work for the time reasonably required to perform their duties as a ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇. Leave for this purpose will be without loss of pay. Such permission will not be unreasonably withheld. On resuming their normal duties, the ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ will notify their supervisor. .
(d) Where the ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇'▇ duties will unreasonably interfere with the proper operation of the Employer, such duties will be performed outside of normal working hours. .
(e) The duties of stewards will include:
(1) investigation of complaints of an urgent nature;
(2) investigation of grievances and assisting any employee whom the ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ represents in presenting a grievance in accordance with the grievance procedure;
(3) supervision of ballot boxes and other related functions during ratification votes;
(4) carrying out duties within the realm of safety responsibilities, these being recognized as complaints of an urgent nature which require immediate attention; and
(5) attending meetings called by the Employer.
