Recognition and Rights of Stewards. The Employer recognizes the Union's right to select their stewards to represent Employees. The Employer employees who ideally will be representative of the front desk, housekeeping component and dietary component of the Union will agree on a reasonable number of shop stewards taking into account both operational and geographic considerationsstaff. The Union will agrees to provide the Employer with a list of the Employees employees designated as stewards and indicate the jurisdiction of each ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇alternates. A ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ or his/her alternate shall obtain the permission of his/her immediate supervisor department head and in his/her absence the person in charge before leaving his/her work to perform the duties as of a ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇. Leave for this purpose shall be without loss of pay. Such permission shall not be unreasonably withheld. On resuming his/her normal duties, the ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ shall notify his/her supervisordepartment head or in his/her absence the person in charge. (a) Investigation investigation of complaints of an urgent nature.complaints;

(c) Supervision supervision of ballot boxes and other related functions during ratification votes.votes involving the Employer and provided the ratification vote is held on the Employer's premises;
(d) Attending carrying out duties within the realm of assigned safety responsibilities for stewards who are members of safety committees;
