Common use of Recognition of Experience Clause in Contracts

Recognition of Experience. (a) When an employee is employed, and that employee has relevant previous experience in an educational institution, recognition shall be given for that employee’s previous experience in an educational institution. (b) Relevant previous experience will include (but not be limited to) experience with kindergartens, creches, childcare centres, and schools. (c) All relevant previous experience, prior to the operative date of this Agreement, shall be counted for the determination of an employee’s years of service. (d) An employee may be required to provide evidence of such relevant previous experience, such as a statement of service.
