Common use of Reductions in Salary Clause in Contracts

Reductions in Salary. 10-4-1 No reduction in the salary of an employee who has attained the status of continuing service will be made except as incident to a different job assignment, to a change in job classification, or a general salary reduction applicable to at least fifty percent (50%) of all employees. Employees reappointed to positions after resignation or other severance of employment shall be employed on probationary appointments without credit for any period of prior employment.
