DEDUCTIONS FROM SALARY. A. As unit members individually and voluntarily authorized the Board, the Board agrees to deduct from the unit members' salaries one single payment periodically to include (1) dues for the ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ County Education Association, (2) dues for the Maryland State Education Association and the National Education Association, and (3) premiums for the MCEA insurance plans. This authorization for MCEA, MSEA, and NEA dues and/or premiums for the MCEA insurance plans and other miscellaneous assessments will remain in effect until one or more of these deductions are added or dropped as authorized in writing by a unit member and received by MCEA on or before September 10. The amount deducted from a unit member's salary each year will be for the total dues and/or the MCEA insurance premiums as certified by MCEA by authorization form signed by the individual signifying that such deductions shall be at the "current rate."
B. The Board agrees to transmit the deductions promptly to the ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ County Education Association, including a list of names and the amount of each deduction.
C. MCEA will certify to the Board in writing the current rate of membership dues for the three associations by September 1. Further, the Association agrees to certify in writing the current premiums for the insurance plans for each unit member, using payroll deductions for this purpose at the time he/she enrolls or changes his/her status.
D. The number of deductions referred to in Section A are to be made during the school year and the amount of each deduction will be as mutually agreed upon by the Board and the MCEA. The Board will honor any authorizations for dues deductions and MCEA insurance premiums received after the beginning date of withholding provided, however, that it will deduct the amount only for each remaining pay period and for the number of pay periods that have been agreed to by the Board and MCEA. Authorizations for deductions will be honored beginning with whatever pay period the records are open.
E. The Board will withhold taxes for unit members who live in jurisdictions other than Maryland.
F. All 10-month unit members shall be offered the option to have their 10-month salary paid over 12 months.
DEDUCTIONS FROM SALARY. A. The Board agrees to deduct from the salaries of its employees, dues for the Brigantine Education Association, the Atlantic County Council of Education Association, the New Jersey Education Association, or the National Education Association, or any one or any combination of such association, as said employee individually and voluntarily authorizes the Board to deduct. The filing notice of an employee’s withdrawal shall be prior to December 1 and become effective to halt deductions as of January 1, next succeeding the date on which notice of withdrawal is filed.
B. The Board agrees to deduct from employee’s salaries money for local, state, and/or national association’s services and programs as said employees individually and voluntarily authorize the Board to deduct and to transmit the monies promptly to the Brigantine Education Association. Any employee may have such deductions discontinued at any time upon sixty (60) days written notice to the Board and the appropriate association.

1. Deductions shall be made in twenty (20) equal installments beginning in August and ending in June of each year. For new enrollees, deductions shall be made in sixteen (16) equal installments beginning in October. The Board will not be required to honor any authorizations that are delivered to it later than fifteen (15) working days prior to the distribution of the November payroll, except for authorized deductions for first-year teachers, delivered after the distribution of the November payroll whose deductions will be made in equal installments computed in accordance with the number of pay periods remaining in that school year.
2. The Association will certify to the Board in writing the current rate of membership dues. The Association will give the Board thirty (30) days written notice prior to the effective date of any change in the rate of dues.
3. No later than October 1 of each year, the Board will provide the Association with a list of those teachers from whom dues were deducted on the first payroll. The Board will provide a similar list from the November 15 payroll not later than December 1.
4. In the event that a teacher terminates employment, the Board shall deduct the balance of the unpaid dues for the current membership year from the teacher's final pay check and transmit these dues promptly to the Association.
B. Payroll deductions will be available at the request of the teacher for the plans listed below and ▇▇▇▇▇. Except in case of an emergency, the Board shall distribute all monies from payroll deduction accounts to the proper recipients within ten (10) workdays of its deduction following the pay date.

DEDUCTIONS FROM SALARY. The Company reserves the right at any time during the Executive’s employment, or on termination of this Agreement to deduct from salary any overpayment made and/or monies owed to the Company by the Executive. This includes but is not limited to: · any excess holiday; · outstanding loans; · advances; · relocation costs; · monies owed to the Company in connection with any Company car, including parking fines and any related administration costs for which the Executive is responsible and which are incurred in a vehicle provided by the Company (either company vehicle or hire car) whilst in the Executive’s control; and · the cost of repairing any damage or loss to property provided by the Company. The UNION shall indemnify, defend and save the BOROUGH harmless against any and all claims, demands, suits, or other forms of liability that shall arise out of or by reason of action taken by the BOROUGH in reliance upon salary deduction authorization cards submitted by the UNION to the BOROUGH or tin reliance upon the official notification of the letterhead of the UNION and signed by the President and Secretary-Treasurer of the UNION advising of such changed deduction.
D. All employees in the bargaining unit who are not members of the union shall be required to pay a representational fee in lieu of dues for services rendered by the union.
E. The representation fee shall be in an amount equivalent to the regular membership dues, initiation fees and assessments charged by the Union to its own members less the cost of benefits financed through the dues, fees and assessments and available to or benefiting only its members, but in no event shall it exceed 85% of the total fee charged to members.
F. The Union shall establish and maintain a demand and return system which provides pro rata returns as require by N.J.S.A. 34:13A-5.5 and N.J.S.A. 34:13A-5.6.

DEDUCTIONS FROM SALARY. 3.1 The District shall deduct from the salaries of employees who are members of the Association who request such deduction in writing the amount of membership dues certified by the Association as its dues. Any change in Association dues shall be made by the Association in writing on or before September 30. Such deduction shall be made in equal installments beginning with the first payroll period in October and ending with the last payroll period in May. The District shall remit the total amount so deducted within ten school days of each payroll date to such person as may be designated in writing by the President of the Association. The form of the Association's current dues deduction authorization is annexed hereto as Appendix A.
3.2 The District shall deduct from the salary of an employee who so requests an amount authorized in writing by the employee and transmit funds so deducted to a bona fide financial institution to be designated in writing by the Association. Any funds so transmitted shall be used for purposes to be determined by the employee and the credit union so designated. The authorization for such deductions may be withdrawn by an employee at any time upon filing of a written notice of such withdrawal with the Superintendent. Such deductions shall be in accordance with such reasonable rules and regulations of the District as may be necessary for the exercise of the District's authority and responsibility under this Article. No such deduction shall be made until 30 days following receipt by the District of the designation by the Association provided for in this Article.
3.3 The District shall be saved harmless from any liability arising from or in connection with any deductions from salary made pursuant to this Article.
3.4 The District shall make available payroll deduction for NYSUT member benefit programs for all bargaining unit members. The deduction of such specified amount shall be made in equal installments beginning with the first pay period. Such deductions will be made in a timely fashion as soon after each pay period as is possible.
4.1 Sick Leave
DEDUCTIONS FROM SALARY. A. Payroll deductions shall be available, at the request of the individual educator for:
1. Tax-sheltered Annuities as authorized by the Association and the Board.
2. Group Insurance plans as authorized by the Association and the Board.
3. Federal Credit Union shares and payments.
B. The Board agrees to deduct for two "Charitable Contribution" drives from employees' salaries only when the employee has duly authorized such deduction; and when such employee voluntarily determines the amount of such contribution. No system-wide, school, or individual quotas shall be established.
C. The rights and/or privileges granted to the Association by paragraph A. of this Article shall not be granted to any other employees' group or organization during the term of this Agreement, claiming to represent the employees in the unit by the Association.
DEDUCTIONS FROM SALARY.
A. The Board agrees to deduct from the salaries of its employees dues for the Teaneck Township Education Association, the Bergen County Education Association, the New Jersey Education Association and the National Education Association, as said employees individually and voluntarily authorize the Board to deduct. Such deductions shall be made in compliance with N.J.S.A. 52:14-15.9.e as amended, and under rules established by the State Department of education. Said monies, together with the records of any collections, shall be transmitted to the Treasurer of the Teaneck Township Education Association by the 15th of each month following the monthly pay period in which deductions were made. The Association shall supply to its members the proper forms authorizing such deductions.
B. If, during the life of this Agreement, there shall be any change in the rate of membership dues, the Association shall furnish to the Board written notice prior to the effective date of such change and shall furnish to the Board new authorizations from its members showing the individual deduction authorizations, and the total authorized deductions for each employee, it being understood that the only obligation of the Board shall be to remit to the Association the total deduction and not the individual deductions. It shall be the obligation of the Association from the total deduction to make further individual deductions authorized by the members.
C. The Association shall indemnify, defend and save the Board harmless against any and all claims, demands, suits or other forms of liability that shall arise out of or by reason of action taken by the Board in reliance upon salary deduction authorization cards submitted by the Association to the Board.
D. The program now in force for payroll deductions with the Teaneck School Employees Federal Credit Union shall remain.
E. 1. An employee may authorize the Board to make deductions for the purpose of tax sheltered annuities pursuant to the provisions of Section 403(b) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1954, as amended, and the terms of a group contract approved by the Board.
