Relation to Applicable Law Clause Samples
The 'Relation to Applicable Law' clause defines how the terms of the agreement interact with relevant local, state, national, or international laws. Typically, this clause clarifies that the contract is subject to, and must be interpreted in accordance with, the laws of a specified jurisdiction, and may state that if any provision conflicts with applicable law, that provision will be modified or disregarded to the extent necessary. Its core function is to ensure the contract remains enforceable and compliant with governing legal requirements, thereby reducing the risk of invalid or unenforceable terms.
