Common use of Release of Assignor Clause in Contracts

Release of Assignor. Unless Assignor has already been released from further liability under the Lease, Assignee agrees that if Assignee acquires fee simple title to the land of which the Premises are a part or acquires the right, title and interest of the landlord under the Lease (whether by operation of law of otherwise), then Assignor will thereupon automatically be released from all liabilities and obligations under the Lease arising from and after the date of such acquisition.
