RELIEF DUTIES AND TEMPORARY ASSIGNMENTS. 8.01 An employee covered by this Agreement may be required to work in another classification covered by this Agreement temporarily provided the local Union is given advice of such action. 8.02 An employee who is temporarily assigned to assume the duties of an employee in a higher classification shall be paid an increase of five percent (5%) above his/her current rate for each day of the assignment. In the event that an increase of five percent (5%) does not meet the minimum rate of pay of the higher classification, the employee will be paid the minimum rate of pay of the higher classification.
