Responsibility for Completion. 1. The Contractor shall furnish sufficient forces, offices, facilities and equipment, and shall work such hours including night shift and overtime operations, as necessary to ensure the completion of the Scope of Work in accordance with the schedule. If, in the opinion of the County, the Contractor falls behind in meeting the dates contained in the schedule, the Contractor shall take such steps as may be necessary to improve its progress, and the County may require it to increase the hours of work, the number of shifts, overtime operations and/or the amount of construction equipment without additional cost to the County. The provisions of this paragraph shall not be construed as prohibiting work on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays, if the Contractor so elects and gives reasonable notice to the County.
