Rest Period Between Shifts. 226. If an employee is called back to work or held over at work, and the employee’s next regularly scheduled shift begins within eight (8) hours of the end of the callback or holdover assignment, then the employee has the option to not work until the employee has eight (8) consecutive hours of rest time.
