Restocking Fees Sample Clauses
A Restocking Fees clause establishes that a fee will be charged when a customer returns a product, typically to cover the costs associated with processing and reintegrating the item into inventory. This fee is usually a percentage of the purchase price or a fixed amount, and it may apply only to certain types of returns, such as non-defective items or returns made after a specific period. The core function of this clause is to compensate the seller for administrative and handling expenses incurred due to returns, thereby discouraging unnecessary or excessive returns and ensuring the seller is not financially disadvantaged by the return process.
