Common use of Retention of Goodwill Clause in Contracts

Retention of Goodwill. During the Pre-Effective Date Period, NEWBRIDGE will, subject to the fact that a transaction involving its businesses is contemplated hereby, continue to carry on the business of NEWBRIDGE and its subsidiaries in a manner consistent with prior practice, working to preserve the attendant goodwill of such entities and to contribute to retention of that goodwill to and after the Effective Date, but subject to the following provisions of this Article 4. The following provisions of this Article 4 are intended to be in furtherance of this general commitment.
