Common use of Retention of Clause in Contracts

Retention of. Employees who are laid off shall retain their seniority and have the right of recall to the classification from which laid off for a length of time equal to the employee's length of continuous service to a maximum of four (24) months, recognizing that periods of layoff do not constitute a break in service.
