Common use of Retiring Classification Clause in Contracts

Retiring Classification. When a member retires in good standing from the police department into a public retirement system, the member shall be permitted to purchase their: 1) College-issued badge, 2) name bar, and 3) any awarded ribbons for one dollar ($1.00). The College shall provide the surviving spouse or designated family member of a member who dies while employed, the member's College issued badge, name bar and any awarded ribbons as a memorial to the deceased member.
