Return of Results. Return of Results allows schools and local authorities to view and download the results of the national curriculum assessment that are taken in May. DfE administrators upload child result data, which is automatically processed by the module, and displayed on different pages within the module according to subject. The upload for 2013 contained approximately 2.5 million lines of data and it is expected that an upload of this size should take no longer than 4 hours to complete. The Phonics module assists Key Stage 1 schools in administering the Phonics screening check. The module allows schools to download test materials and submit a headteacher declaration form which informs DfE whether or not the school administered the check according to guidance. The Application links, via a secure single sign on mechanism, to a number of third party hosted applications, which are currently Pupil Registration and Script Return. These third party systems allow pupils to register for the tests and view test scripts which have been marked via an onscreen marking application. None of these systems currently share data with the Application. The Application contains a number of interfaces/automated processes that allow DfE to update and amend data within the site. The following non-exhaustive list details the main interfaces which are in place. · Edubase update – this allows DfE to load details of all schools into the Application. The update populates address information as well as details such as the type of school and the key stages the school covers. · Backfill of test orders – this allows DfE to populate test orders which have not been completed by schools. · Remove list – this allows DfE to remove closed schools from the Application and also contains information on how existing data should be migrated between schools. · Teacher assessment child list – this allows DfE to upload a list of children into the teacher assessment module which can then be downloaded by schools and local authorities. · Return of Results – an automated process which takes a file of child results data and uploads it into the Return of Results module. Most of the above processes are automated and are triggered by DfE uploading a file into a specific location within a Secure File Transfer Protocol site provided by the supplier of the Application. Scope of Services Services to be delivered for the Application are as follows: · Managed hosting - to include all activities required to ensure the Applicatio...
