Common use of Returning to Duty Clause in Contracts

Returning to Duty. Any member of the bargaining unit returning to duty from leave within thirty (30) working days shall be returned to the same position. Employees on leave more than thirty (30) working days are not guaranteed the same position or location by the Board.Members of the bargaining unit who fail to return on the date agreed to in the leave request may be subject to termination unless an extension has been requested and granted or a medical emergency prevents notification.
