Right to Return. A promoted employee shall have the right to return to the employee’s previous position provided that the employee notifies their Department Head, in writing, of their intention to do so within the probationary period. The right to return shall be granted when made within 60 days of the date of promotion. The right to return after 60 days of the date of promotion shall be granted unless the previous position has already been filled.
