Common use of Rights in Technical Data Clause in Contracts

Rights in Technical Data. ‌ A. No material or technical data prepared by the Contractor under this Agreement is to be released by the Contractor to any other person or entity except as necessary for the performance of the Services. All press releases or information concerning the Services that might appear in any publication or dissemination, including but not limited to newspapers, magazines, electronic media, shall first be authorized in writing by the Authority. B. The originals of all letters, documents, reports and other products and data produced under this Agreement shall become the property of the Authority without restriction or limitation on their use and shall be made available upon request to the Authority at any time. Original copies of such shall be delivered to the Authority upon completion of the work or termination of the work. The Contractor shall be permitted to retain copies of such items for the furtherance of its technical proficiency; however, publication of this material is subject to the prior written approval of the Authority.
