Riparian Management Zones. RMZs for fish-bearing streams impact water quality. As discussed above, RMZs have three zones: the core zone nearest the water, the inner zone in the middle, and the outer zone furthest from the water. Table 3-6 shows the widths of RMZs required for each site class, and the width of each of the zones.
