Role of Seniority in Layoffs. A nurse who is affected by a work shortage will be entitled to claim the job held by another nurse within the bargaining unit subject to the following conditions: (a) that the nurse claiming such other job can meet the normal requirements of the work to be done; (b) that such other job is held by a nurse with less seniority.
