Common use of Rostered Hours Clause in Contracts

Rostered Hours. Day hours shall be between 6.00am and 6.00pm. Shift hours shall be rostered as: • Afternoon shift finishes after 6.00pm and on or before 12 midnight. • Night shift finishes after 12 midnight and at or before 8.00am or commences prior to 6.00am. • Fixed night shift is determined as any shift system in which night shifts are worked which do not rotate or alternate so as to give the employee at least one third of their working time on day shift in each roster cycle. Additional hours can be worked on any shift by mutual agreement. Such additional hours worked shall attract the relevant shift penalty and will be included in the total hours worked for determination of Excess Hours at the completion of the 3 monthly cycle.
