Salary Enhancement Clause Samples
Salary Enhancement. Unit members serving in Specialized Assignments will have their salary increased by five thousand dollars ($5,000.00) per work year. No unit member will receive more than one
(1) five thousand dollar ($5,000.00) salary incentive pursuant to this provision in any one school year.
Salary Enhancement. A 2% increase to Salaried Professionals’ base salary shall be effective July 1, 2021, and a 3% increase to base salary shall be effective July 1, 2022.
Salary Enhancement. The salary enhancement provided under the terms of this program shall be as follows: One Year Program
.1 Licensed educational support personnel Staff members qualifying and applying for this salary enhancement program shall have their salary increased in their final year of employment by SESE in an amount not to exceed a total of $2,000.00 or six percent (6%) of the employee’s prior year non-exempt IMRF earnings, whichever is less.
.2 The SESE Board shall make the salary enhancement payment to the staff member in a separate check by no later than June 20 of the school year in which the retirement is to become effective and the amount of said payment shall be included in the staff member’s gross salary for that school year.
.3 The difference between $2,000.00 and the employee’s incentive as described in .1 above, if any, shall be awarded to the employee post-retirement as a lump sum amount no later than sixty (60) days following the employee’s retirement. This payment shall not be considered wages for hours work, shall not be considered IMRF creditable earnings, and shall not be paid until after the employee’s last day of work or receipt of last paycheck, whichever is later.

.2 The SESE Board shall make the salary enhancement payment to the staff member in a separate check by no later than June 20th of each of the final two
Salary Enhancement. A five percent (5%) increase to Principal’s base salary shall be effective July 1, 2023, and a three percent (3%) increase to Principal’s base salary shall be effective July 1, 2024. Base salary increase will be calculated as a percentage on the base salary plus performance increment earned at the end of the prior school year. Principals who have separated service prior to ratification of this agreement will not be eligible for retroactive compensation.
Salary Enhancement. As a voluntary retirement benefit for Teachers who qualify as noted above, the Board agrees to increase the Teacher’s TRS creditable earnings by 6% over the Teacher’s prior year’s reported TRS creditable earnings for each remaining year of the Teacher’s employment in the District. This increase is in lieu of any other raise, step or other creditable earnings increase the Teacher may otherwise have been entitled to receive under this agreement. This increase will be granted beginning in the school year in which the Teacher gives notice as provided above. A retiring Teacher may receive no more than four (4) years of 6% creditable earnings increases under this program. A Teacher for whom an extra duty or extra schedule stipend was part of the Teacher’s creditable earnings in the school year prior to the school year in which notice is given and who voluntarily ceases to perform such duty in any year prior to retirement will have the stipend for that duty subtracted from the creditable earnings increases provided under this program for each remaining year, before the 6% increase is applied. Under no circumstances may a Teacher participating in this program receive a creditable earnings increase exceeding 6% over the Teacher’s prior year’s creditable earnings.

This increase will be granted beginning in the school year in which the Teacher gives notice as provided above. A retiring Teacher may receive no more than four (4) years of 6% creditable earnings increases under this program.
Salary Enhancement. 1. All undergraduate and graduate hours must relate to education, or a specific teaching field, to count towards salary enhancement.
2. Professional Development Council (PDC) points may be used for column movement. Twenty PDC points are equivalent to 1 college credit hour. Highest movement would be BA+45 column until master’s degree is earned. Once a master’s degree is earned then teachers can continue to use both college credit and PDC points for column movement.
Salary Enhancement. The salary enhancement provided under the terms of this program shall be as follows:
.1 Qualifying teachers who have been employed by the District for a minimum of twenty (20) years and applying for this salary enhancement program shall have their prior year TRS creditable earnings increased in their final year(s) of employment by six percent (6%), which includes any required contributions to TRS.
.2 Qualifying teachers who have been employed by the District for a minimum of ten (10) years and applying for this salary enhancement program shall have their prior year TRS credit- able earnings increased in their final year(s) of employment by an amount equal to fifty percent (50%) of any increase which the teacher would have received if they had been employed by the District for a minimum of twenty (20) years.
.3 For those teachers electing the two, three or four year program the calculation of the salary enhancement shall be cumulative with the calculation for each year being based upon the result of the prior year. Thus, in the second year the creditable earnings would be 106% of the 106% determined in year one.
.4 The Board shall make the salary enhancement payment in a separate check by no later June 20th of each year the teacher participates in the Retiring Teacher Salary Enhancement Program and the amount of said payment shall be included in the teacher’s gross salary for that school year as reported to the Illinois Teachers’ Retirement System to insure the additional income is included in the calculation of the teacher’s TRS pension.
Salary Enhancement. A 3% increase to Confidential Employee’s base salary in year 1 of the contract shall be effective July 1, 2022.
