Same Shift Sample Clauses

The "Same Shift" clause establishes that certain terms, conditions, or benefits apply specifically to employees working within the same work shift. In practice, this clause may govern issues such as shift differentials, overtime eligibility, or the allocation of work assignments among employees present during a particular shift. Its core function is to ensure consistent and equitable treatment of employees who are scheduled to work together during the same time period, thereby preventing disputes or confusion regarding rights and responsibilities tied to specific shifts.
Same Shift. A Displaced Nurse may elect to bump either into the position, for which the nurse is qualified, of the least senior nurse in another classification on the same shift with a comparable FTE, or into the position of the least senior nurse on the same shift, regardless of FTE but at least 24 hours per week so the nurse may retain benefits.
Same Shift. By seniority, displaced nurses, shall be allowed to bump into the position(s), or reasonable combinations of positions, for which the nurse is qualified, held by the least senior nurse(s) (or vacancies) on the same shift in the Hospital.
Same Shift. Displaced employees may look to bump into the position of the least senior employee on the same shift on a different unit. If that employee's position does not have as many regularly scheduled hours/pay period as the Displaced employees position, the Displaced employee may look to the position of the least senior employee in the job class on a different unit on the same shift with an equivalent number of regularly scheduled hours or he/she may bump into the least senior employee's position with fewer hours and accept a partial layoff, OR

  • Hour Shift A twelve (12) hour tour shall be inclusive of a total of forty-five (45) minutes of unpaid meal time and a total of forty-five (45) minutes paid relief periods.

  • Day Shift The standard work day will consist of eight (8) hours worked between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. with a designated thirty (30) minute lunch period. Starting and stopping times to be determined by mutual agreement between the Company and the shop employees.

  • Afternoon Shift (i) Afternoon Shift is any shift where the normal ceasing time is later than 6.00 p.m. but not later than midnight. (ii) The additional loading for ordinary hours only shall be twenty-five percent (25%) of the all purpose rate applying to the Employees' classification.

  • Work Shift The hours an employee is scheduled to work each workday in a workweek.

  • Night Shift Employees who regularly work a full shift of eight (8) hours or more on night shift as defined in Section 12.6.1 (Types of Shifts), which includes four (4) hours or more between the hours of 12:00 midnight and 7:00 a.m., shall be paid their regular salary plus ten percent (10%) of their monthly salary per month, provided that in the case of any employee who is regularly assigned to night-shift work for less than an entire work week, the additional payment shall be made only for the portion of the work week worked on the night-shift assignment.
