Scheduled Shutdowns. (a) The Company may (by giving at least 3 weeks' notice) close down the plant or sections within the plant, for more than 3 working days, and direct one or more employees to not attend work for a certain period of time. (b) Employees directed not to attend for work under clause 14.4 (a) above must take annual leave during this shutdown period. (c) Where an employee does not have sufficient annual leave accrued to cover the period of the shutdown, the employee may agree to be given leave without pay for the period of the shutdown.
