(7) An Employee will not be required to change tours of duty more than once in any ten (10) day period except in emergencies.
(8) The Hospital will grant requests for permanent evening or night dutytours where feasible. It is understood that it may be necessary to occasionally schedule a nurse that works straight evening or night shifts to day shifts for purposes of assessment, training, and/or orientation.

Scheduling Objectives. G.01 The Hospital will endeavour to maintain and achieve the following objectives Objectives in the formulation of working schedulesschedules have been left to local arrangements. These local arrangements permit flexibility by encouraging individual responsibility. As a guide to the type of scheduling arrangements which the Hospital will maintain and follow, although it is recognized by the Association parties set out below standard objectives, recognizing that it has not always been and the Hospital may not always be possible able to attain these objectivesobjectives and that their attainment may be varied with the consent of those concerned.
(a) The Employer will endeavour to schedule every second weekend off for nurses working on a normal daily tour and on an extended tour.
(b) There shall be at least a period of sixteen (16) consecutive hours off between a change of tours. A nurse will be scheduled for at least forty-eight (48) hours off when changing from night tour to a day tour, unless otherwise agreed to or except where:
1. At least one (1i) weekend such tour has been worked by the nurse to satisfy specific days off in two (2)requested by this registered nurse;
2. ii) such tour is worked as a result of an exchange of tours with another registered nurse;
iii) the registered nurse volunteers in writing to work such tour.
(c) Schedules will be posted no less than twenty-eight fourteen (2814) days in advance advance.
(d) Where possible, a nurse will be scheduled off at least four (4) days in any two week period including at least one period of a twenty-eight two (282) day posting period;consecutive days.
3. Nurses (e) A nurse will not normally be scheduled to work more than six five (65) consecutive calendar days. This clause does not prohibit exchange of shifts days except by an individual staff that might result in six (6) or more consecutive calendar days following the process described in G.01 (12)mutual consent.

For purposes of H.3 (28d) days only, seniority will mean the combined seniority as outlined in advance Article 10.03 of a twenty-eight the Central Collective Agreement. Time off at Christmas will mean all shifts on December 24th, 25th and 26th (28) day posting periodwill begin at 1950 hours on December 23rd for nurses working extended tours).
