Common use of SCHOOLS WITH SITE-BASED MANAGEMENT Clause in Contracts

SCHOOLS WITH SITE-BASED MANAGEMENT. 1. The certificated staff, through use of site-based management, may vary the length of their teaching blocks and frequency of their preparation periods as needed to accommodate their restructured schedule with the following conditions: a. The schedule meets the required number of instructional minutes, unless a waiver is obtained from the State Department of Education. b. The teaching assignments and preparation periods are equitable. 2. The communication period may or may not be a part of the schedule agreed to by the certificated staff. 3. Through site–based management the staff may decide the number of duties and how those duties are fulfilled as long as all staff members are treated equitably.
