Scope of Legal Representation Clause Samples

The "Scope of Legal Representation" clause defines the specific legal services and matters that an attorney will handle for a client. It typically outlines the boundaries of the attorney’s responsibilities, such as whether representation is limited to a particular transaction, lawsuit, or legal issue, and may exclude unrelated matters or future disputes. By clearly delineating what is and is not included in the engagement, this clause helps manage client expectations and prevents misunderstandings about the extent of the attorney’s obligations.
