Common use of Section 17.2.1 Clause in Contracts

Section 17.2.1. 9 In the event the Washington State Legislature authorizes and specifically funds an increase for 10 classified employee salaries, the District agrees to negotiate Schedule A only with the Association 11 in accordance with the provisions established by the Legislature. 13 The intent of this clause shall be construed to insure that the District and the Association agree that 14 the salary allocation granted will be in strict conformity with the legislative requirements, thereby 15 avoiding any penalty to the District, while providing maximum salary improvement to members of 16 this bargaining unit.
