Common use of Section 8.8.3 Clause in Contracts

Section 8.8.3. The employee will retain accrued sick leave, vested vacation rights, and seniority rights while 18 on leave of absence. However, vacation credits, sick leave, and seniority shall not accrue while 19 the employee is on leave of absence.

However, vacation credits, sick leave, and seniority shall not accrue while 19 the employee 23 is on leave of absence; provided, however, that if such leave is approved for extended illness or injury, 24 including industrial accident or industrial illness, seniority shall accrue.
