Section 9.9.3. 15 The employee will retain accrued sick leave, vested vacation rights, and seniority rights while 16 on leave of absence. However, vacation credits, sick leave, and seniority shall not accrue while 17 the employee is on leave of absence; provided, however, that if such leave is approved for 18 extended illness or injury, seniority shall accrue. An employee on leave of absence remains 19 eligible for insurance benefits at their own expense.
Section 9.9.3. 32 Employees on layoff status shall file their addresses and telephone numbers, in writing, with 33 the personnel department of the District and shall thereafter promptly advise the District, in 34 writing, of any change of address or change in telephone number.
Section 9.9.3. If not FMLA eligible or after FMLA has been exhausted, an employee shall be granted 25 leave without pay up to a 12-week maximum for the purpose of caring for a terminally ill child under the 26 age of eighteen (18).
