Common use of Seniority Delimited Clause in Contracts

Seniority Delimited. An unpaid leave of absence exceeding thirty (30) calendar days shall lessen seniority by the number of days on such leave which exceed thirty (30) calendar days. Employees on leaves covered under Workers' Compensation, ESL or Temporary Disability Insurance shall not have their seniority adjusted. Seniority shall be terminated by discharge, resignation, transfer to call-in status, failure to return from an authorized leave of absence, layoff in excess of one hundred and eighty (180) days or failure to report to work within ·one (1) calendar week after receiving a recall letter.
