SENIORITY, LAYOFF AND RECALL. ‌ A. Seniority shall be defined as the length of continuous service within the District as of the employee's first working day as a regularly scheduled employee in the bargaining unit. In circumstances where one or more employees began working on the same date, all individuals so affected will participate in a drawing to determine position on the seniority list. An employee on paid leave will continue to accrue seniority for the first sixty (60) days of the leave. The employee’s seniority will be frozen until the employee returns to work. B. Employees shall hold seniority in one of the following classifications:
