Common use of Seniority Points Clause in Contracts

Seniority Points. a. Seniority points shall be added to the score obtained from the written examination to determine the oral board eligibility pursuant to paragraph 3 above. b. Seniority points for detective promotions shall be added at the rate of one (1) point per year of seniority for a maximum of twenty-five (25) points. The first year and each consecutive year thereafter must be completed by the first Monday of February for the even numbered years to receive credit. c. Seniority points for sergeant promotions shall be added at the rate of one- half (1/2) point per year of seniority for the eighth through the seventeenth year, with a maximum of five (5) points. The eighth and each consecutive year thereafter must be completed by the first Monday of February for the even numbered years to receive credit.
