Common use of Settling of Grievance Clause in Contracts

Settling of Grievance. An ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ effort shall be made to settle Grievances, as defined herein, fairly and promptly in accordance with the following procedure: Before a formal complaint is reduced to a written Grievance, the employee, accompanied by a Union ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇, shall first discuss it with their immediate Supervisor or designate. Failing settlement of the matter, the following grievance procedure shall apply. Step 1 No grievance shall be considered unless it is submitted in writing within fifteen (15) days of the Grievor becoming aware of the incident to the Executive Director, or her designate. The written Grievance shall be signed by the Grievor and the Union ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ and shall identify the nature of the grievance, the remedy sought and the provision(s) of the Agreement which is/are alleged to have been violated. The Executive Director, or her designate, shall convene a meeting with the Union’s Grievance Committee within five (5) days following receipt of the grievance. The
