SHIFT AND WEEKEND DIFFERENTIALS Clause Samples

The "Shift and Weekend Differentials" clause establishes additional pay rates for employees who work outside of standard business hours, such as during evening, night, or weekend shifts. Typically, this clause specifies the percentage or amount by which wages are increased for qualifying shifts, ensuring that employees are compensated more for working less desirable hours. Its core function is to incentivize coverage of non-standard shifts and to fairly compensate employees for the inconvenience or increased demands of working during these times.
