Common use of Shift Extension Clause in Contracts

Shift Extension. When an employee is asked to remain at work, beyond the end of the employee’s scheduled shift, to perform work that is contiguous and / or connected with the scheduled shift. Call Back: When an employee is called back, after completing a work day and leaving the work premises or on a non-work day, to work for a period of time that is not contiguous or connected with the employee’s scheduled shift. Early Report: When an employee is asked and/or required to report early for work that is contiguous and/or connected with the employee’s scheduled shift.
