Common use of Shortage of Pay Clause in Contracts

Shortage of Pay. In the event that an employee’s pay has a shortage of eight (8) hours’ pay or more and the employee so requests within three (3) working days after the pay date of the bi-weekly pay period in which the shortage occurred, the Employer shall make every effort to rectify the shortage within five (5) working days from the time that the employee first notifies the appropriate payroll services representative.
